Context

This project was developed as part of a class assignment that challenged students to concept a collaboration between two unlikely brands while ensuring both were represented equally throughout the work. The requirement pushed us to think beyond obvious pairings and consider what two seemingly different brands could genuinely share beneath the surface.

Needs Statement

Our team recognized the many similar brand pillars between Coachtopia and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Users of both the fshion brand and the video game enjoy growing collections, dressing up an outfit, and being mindful of the environment.


As we start the creation these two brands, Coachtopia buyers and ACNH players need a seamless blend of stylish, environmental collectibles and engaging, entertaining gameplay because the potential for customer crossover is too strong to ignore due to the likeness in what Coachtopia and ACNH deem important.

What is Animal Crossing New Horizon

A video game by Nintendo, Animal Crossing New Horizons (ACNH) focuses game-play on environmental interaction. The game's storyline represents open-ended creativity. The endless possibilities of fun the game has to offer are all rooted in taking care of the world around you.

What is Coachtopia

A sub-brand of the luxury fashion brand Coach, Coachtopia caters towards a younger audience that believes in responsible fashion. The brand's handbags represent commitment to sustainability. Each item is meticulously crafted from environmentally friendly materials.


Wasty is the official mascot of Coachtopia, serving as the whimsical, tangible personification of the brand’s circular design philosophy. Wasty is crafted from the "waste" of the fashion industry, specifically leftover leather scraps and offcuts that would otherwise be discarded.

Game Play

Bringing Wasty into ACNH as an NPC that would appear after purchasing an Amiibo card inside the Coachcrossing bag!. Interacting with them allows players who enjoy more fashionable items in game to collect recipes!

Website Takeover

Taking iconic bags from ACNH and bringing them into our world! This brand collab allows you to buy ACNH theme bags directly off Coachtopia's website where they have a special website takeover. You can also buy keychains of well known NPCs: Kicks, Flick, and CJ. Inside these exclusive bags, you can find Wasty's Amiibo card!

Social Media and Marketing

Our target demographic primarily gets their news and updates from social media.

To bring excitement for both fans of Coachtopia and ACNH, there will be pop up at their in store locations. Here you can meet Wasty, Isabelle, or Tom Nook in San Fransico, New York, or Houston!
